Another year, another championship celebration for the barangay.
Monday at Metrotent in Ortigas, the Gin Kings once again partied with their fans, this time toasting after successfully regaining the PBA Governors' Cup title.
Ginebra beat Meralco in five games in the 2019 Finals, making it three Governors' Cup championships in four seasons.
"It's amazing for these people to be here, celebrating with us," head coach Tim Cone said.
"That's incredible. It just shows the passion they have for Ginebra," he added.
As the single most popular team in the league, Coach Tim says they have an obligation to their fans to reward their trust.
Winning championships, while they can't win them all, is a special feat because it's always for the Ginebra fans.
"We're so proud that every once in a while we can bring this kind of joy to Ginebra nation," coach Tim said.
"It's fantastic to have that power to make people happy. We have that power. But with great power comes great responsibility, so it's up to us to give our best and try to compete for each and every championship," Cone added.
