Losing in the Finals is definitely something that you want to make a habit of.
But always making the Finals? Now that's a good habit to have. Making to the Finals at least gives you a 50-50 chance of actually winning.
After losing a third PBA Governors' Cup title to Barangay Ginebra, Meralco is taking all the positives it could get after another stinging defeat.
"Sayang, third time na namin to," guard Baser Amer after a 4-1 Finals loss to Ginebra in the 2019 PBA Governors's Cup.
"Hopefully, makasanayan namin na nandito kami lagi sa Finals. Kailangan mindset namin nasa Finals kami lagi," Amer added.
That mindset will immiediately be tested when Meralco returns for the Philippine Cup.
The All-Filipino has been a major weakness for the Bolts, they have finished 11th for three straight seasons and 12th four seasons ago, but Baser believes they can fight.
"Next conference All-Filipino na, I think yung lineup namin kumbaga kumpleto na," he said.
"Hintayin lang namin maka-recover si Raymond [Almazan] sa tuhod niya, I think laban kami," Amer added.
