After some time negotiating, TNT and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. finally decided on a new one-year deal for the next PBA season.
The actual terms of the deal were not specified but it can be safe to say that Parks Jr. certainly got paid.
"Ray was at Smart kanina. We signed a one-year agreement," TNT team manager Gabby Cui said after Gilas Pilipinas practice Monday.
"Max deal for a second-year guy," he added.
According to Cui, TNT and Parks Jr. were "95 percent" into their negotiations up until last weekend.
With the deal done, the no. 2 pick of the 2018 Draft should finally rejoin the KaTropa a little less than three weeks before the new PBA season opens.
"He’s in good spirits. It was a long negotiation but that’s the way negotiations go. You try and get the best value for both of you," Cui said.
"Maybe in the start we didn’t see eye to eye but through constant communication, we found a solution, a win-win solution," he added.
