PBA: TNT waits for final decision on pending Erram trade
It's almost two weeks since the deal was made public and the PBA, via its trade committee, is still sitting on a decision.

TNT's acquisition of star big man Poy Erram from NLEX is still pending PBA approval and the flagship MVP franchise is starting to have worries about a couple of things.

Erram is the centerpiece of a complicated three-time trade featuring TNT, NLEX, and Blackwater.

It's almost two weeks since the deal was made public and the PBA, via its trade committee, is still sitting on a decision.

"Getting impatient? No, we're following the rule for whatever the trade committee is saying," PBA Board Chairman and TNT governor Ricky Vargas said.

"They were looking for something to cure it. So ano man kung ano ang issues the have in mind, continuous dialogue. We are trying to continue to work it out," he added, as all three teams involved continue to revise the deal.

As the KaTropa wait for the deal to be finalized, they worry about the time if would take to integrate Erram into their system if the trade is a success.

The PBA will open a new season on March 8.

"Our biggest challenges that Talk 'N Text as it is now is building chemistry and being on the same page. If Poy comes to us finally, yes, the more time we wait, the less time we have for him to be integrated with the team," Vargas said.

"So await for that moment, sana sooner or better," he added.

At the same time though, TNT also has to consider the deal being rejected.

"Pwede. That's a possibility. That's a possibility that they'll reject it. There's a possibility that they'll accept it with some changes," Vargas said.

"But with my experience with the trade committee, is they have not disapproved on any trade, but improve the trade on how they view it as fair to everybody," he added.
