Good news for San Miguel Beer fans, six-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo has ditched his mobility scooter and is walking on his own.
A good four months after suffering a complete fracture to his right tibia, Fajardo feels good enough to be able to use his leg to walk.
That's some welcome development for the Beermen star, whose injury cost him pretty much a year of his PBA career.
"Ngayon nakakalakad na ako, kaya sana tuluy-tuloy na," Fajardo said.
"Okay naman, so far maganda yung healing," he added.
June Mar has been at home resting long before the enhanced community quarantine brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fajardo has started to slowly work out as well, albeit only on a limited capacity as he's yet to undergo proper therapy to his leg due to the lockdown.
"May mga gamit naman ako dito sa bahay, may dumbbells and pang-squat ako. Saktong pang home gym lang talaga, pangbahay na workout lang," he said.
"Sa lower body hindi pa ako puwede, pero sa upper nakaka-workout na ako," June Mar added.
