Taong probinsya ako eh, so yun yung mga nakikita ko," June Mar said, showing off one of his latest pieces to Ms. Dyan Castillejo at Sports U. (Video screenshot from #SportsUWithTheKraken)
June Mar Fajardo has been stuck at home since February due to a broken leg and the lockdown brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020 calendar just turned into June.
That's quite a long time to be inactive and be stuck indoors for a basketball player, and as June Mar tries to use up all of his free time, he's discovered a new hobby.
Fajardo, the now six-time PBA Most Valuable Player, is using his downtime to practice his painting skills.
Taong probinsya ako eh, so yun yung mga nakikita ko," June Mar said, showing off one of his latest pieces to Ms. Dyan Castillejo at Sports U.
June Mar says he's self-taught when it comes to painting, only looking at pictures and videos on Youtube, specifically those of American painter Bob Ross.
Fajardo adds he only takes a couple of hours to finish his pieces and he uses acrylic paint.
Nakaka-tulog ako, nakaka-relax," he said.
"Hindi ako ganun kagaling, pampalipas oras lang. Pangpa-wala ng stress," June Mar added.
