In Poy Erram, the KaTropa finally have a legitimate center to complement their many stars in other positions, like Jayson Castro at point guard.
TNT could be on to something really great in the PBA with the acquisition of Poy Erram.
In Erram, the KaTropa finally have a legitimate center to complement their many stars in other positions.
Erram personally doesn't consider himself as TNT's missing piece, but he does feel the pressure of the team's championship aspirations.
Poy is excited too, he's raring to go play with Jayson Castro, the KaTropa's no. 1 point guard.
"Si Jayson Castro talaga," Erram told 2OT on the player he's looking forward to play with at TNT.
"Alam mo talaga naa-attract niya sa opensa at depensa. Talagang excited ako sa mga drop pass niya, for me parang easy na lang," he added.
Erram's specialty has always been defense. He's led the PBA in blocks more than once and he was the 2018 PBA Defensive Player of the Year.
Still, that doesn't mean he's a slouch on offense as Erram has range that extends beyond the three-point line. In playing with Castro however, Poy might see his inside looks double.
"Sa practice pa lang, magugulat ka na lang hawak mo na yung bola," Erram said of playing with Castro.
"Lagi niya [Castro] sinasabi sakin, lagi lang ako aware. Kailangan ko na lang tumingin sa baba yung bola nasa kamay ko na," Poy added.
