We might be in for the most competitive PBA tournament yet, despite the current global circumstances.
Save for players with long-term injuries, like say June Mar Fajardo, most, if not all, players will come back healthy and refreshed when the PBA resumes.
That simply means no excuses and the race to the PBA championship will be as close as it could get compared to recent seasons.
"Syempre pagbalik natin lahat ng PBA player mabangis yan. Gigil lahat eh," Ginebra's LA Tenorio said on 2OT.
"Ito talaga very exciting sa PBA pag-balik, pagalingan to ngayon. Lahat fresh eh," he added.
The PBA has been shut down for almost five months now, with no practices, let alone games.
The uncertain timeline has forced players to maintain pretty much daily workouts just to keep themselves in shape.
The downtime has also allowed nagging injuries to heal.
"Lahat ng PBA players ngayon pakundisyon, kasi di mo alam timeline natin eh," LA said.
"Wala ka sasabihin na uy galing kasi sa injury yung star player, uy galing sa ganyan. Back to zero, start from scratch lahat ngayon. Pagalingan talaga kaya exciting," Tenorio added.
