Pocari Sweat attempts to end a two-game skid.
Considered as one of the top title contenders parading a solid roster, Pocari Sweat suddenly sees itself down at the cellar as the only winless team in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The Lady Warriors try to arrest their two-game losing slump Saturday when Pocari Sweat collide with Philippine Air Force at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Opening serve is at 6:30 p.m. and will air via livestream.
With its V-League Open and Reinforced Conference championship core composed of Myla Pablo, Gyzelle Sy, Elaine Kasilag, Mel Gohing and Desiree Dadang back in action with newcomers former NCAA Finals Most Valuable Player Jeannette Panaga, Jessey De Leon and Fille Cainglet-Cayetano beefing up their lineup, the Lady Warriors entered the tournament as the team to beat.
But Pocari Sweat struggled early, losing their first two games against the Power Smashers, 9-25, 22-25, 21-25, and BaliPure, 23-25, 22-25, 14-25, last Thursday.
The Jet Spikers, on the other hand, sit at fifth spot with a 1-2 card.
Air Force absorbed a 23-25, 16-25, 22-25, loss at the hands of Creamline Thursday.
Meanwhile, Philippine Army (1-0) guns for back-to-back victories when the Troopers take on Café Lupe (0-1) at 9:00 a.m.
