Philippine Army has gone streaking to start the 2017 Premier Volleyball League Men’s Tournament.
Three different Troopers fired eight points apiece as they left no doubt in closing the door on Café Lupe in straight sets, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19, on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Skipper Benjaylo Labide took the lead as usual with his eight points coming from all over the court.
Jayvee Sumagaysay then took care of business up top with all but three of his eight markers registered from blocks. “Nagiging okay na naman yung jelling ng team namin. Nakaka-adjust na talaga sa sistema namin,” coach Rico De Guzman expressed post-game.
Joshua Barrica paced Café Lupe with nine points. They remain winless in two tries.
