Rejuvenated Pocari Sweat hunts for its third straight win in a showdown with the shaky Creamline Cool Smashers Thursday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Warriors struggled early in their campaign but are now on a two-game roll to share the second to fourth spots with the Power Smashers and Perlas with 2-2 slates behind unbeaten BaliPure (3-0).

Pocari Sweat marches into the 6:00 p.m. battle that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream hoping to close the first round of eliminations on a high note.

The Lady Warriors easily dismantled Perlas, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19, last Tuesday with Myla Pablo, Jeanette Panaga, Elaine Kasilag and Maricar Nepomuceno scoring in double figures each.

“Kumpara sa simula namin, ngayon may communication na. Kita na masaya sila sa loob,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella. “Also sa receive din kasi sobrang laki ng in-improve.”

The Lady Warriors are looking to take advantage of their experience when they take on the Cool Smashers, who are struggling to keep their campaign moving on the right track.

Crowd-darling Alyssa Valdez is chipping in her usual numbers, averaging a league-high 24.3 points per game. But for Creamline to get back in the win column, Valdez must get consistent support from her teammates.

The Cool Smashers melted under pressure the last time out, losing in five sets, 23-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-20, 13-15, last Tuesday against the Power Smashers to slide down to 1-2 card.

Meanwhile, Sta. Elena (2-0) looks to keep a tight hold of the lead against winless Instituto Estetico Manila (0-2) in the men’s division slated at 1:00 p.m.
