Former Far Eastern University standout Greg Dolor unleashed 28 points to help Instituto Estetico Manila arrest two-game slide at the expense of erstwhile unbeaten Sta. Elena, 22-25, 25-23, 28-26, 25-22, Thursday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference men’s division.
Dolor burned the taraflex court at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan with 26 attack points in a performance he laced with seven digs as the Phoenix Volley Masters barged in the win column after three tries.
Darryl Villanueva scored 15 points while Ferdian Guanzon and Joeward Presnede finished with 14 and 11 markers, respectively, for IEM.
The Phoenix Volley Masters, who gave away 34 points off errors, recovered from a slow start and dealt the Wrecking Balls their first loss of the season.
Sta. Elena dropped to second spot with a 2-1 win-loss record behind undefeated Cignal and Philippine Army, which are tied at 2-0.
University of the East star Edward Camposano scored 22 points for the Wrecking Balls while Berlin Paglinawan and Berlin Paglinawan finished with eight markers each.
