Philippine Air Force tries to end four-game slide.
Philippine Air Force is out to arrest a four-game losing slump in a showdown against Perlas Thursday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Game time is at 6:30 p.m. and will air via livestream.
The Jet Spikers are at the cellar with a 1-5 win-loss record after losing its last four matches including a sorry five-set defeat at the hands of Creamline, 21-25, 26-28, 25-23, 25-12, 12-15, last Saturday.
But Air Force is hoping to get a breather against the same squad they bested in five sets in their first meeting.
The Jet Spikers outlasted the Spikers, 26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 15-13.
May Ann Pantino, Joy Cases, Jocemer Tapic and Iari Yongco all need to step up their game to help Air Force halt its nosedive.
But Perlas, which is tied with idle Power Smashers at 3-4 spots with 3-3 slates, wants revenge.
The Spikers are coming off a tough 17-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-18, 3-15, loss last Tuesday against Pocari Sweat.
Perlas will lean on Amy Ahomiro, Dzi Gervacio, Nicole Tiamzon, and Kathy Bersola.
Meanwhile, Philippine Air Force (1-1) and Philippine Army (2-1) collide at 1:00 p.m. in the men’s division.
