Patayin nyo na lang kaya kami? -- Gorayeb on tight schedule
Ako as a coach kailangan sundin lang (ang schedule) meron naman tayong team manager ine-elevate ko sa kanila ‘yan -- BaliPure coach Roger Gorayeb

BaliPure head coach Roger Gorayeb could only jest about the compressed schedule of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference that got the Water Defenders playing four games in six days including a back-to-back this weekend.

Less than 24 hours after its straight sets 25-17, 25-12, 25-17 win over Philippine Air Force Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan, BaliPure will battle Perlas on Sunday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Gorayeb joked during the post-game interview that drew a crack of laughter from reporters inside the pressroom.

The Water Defenders battled Perlas last Saturday in a five-set contest that snapped BaliPure’s four-game winning streak. BaliPure then took on Creamline two days after and lost to Pocari Sweat in five sets last Thursday.   .

The mentor was just relieved that the skidding Jet Spikers didn’t show much resistance during their match that pushed BaliPure back in the win column for a 5-2 card.

World volleyball governing body, FIVB, gave the PVL an extension for the International Transfer Certificates of the imports until the second week of June.
