BaliPure swept Philippine Air Force in straight sets.
BaliPure returned in the win column after adding more woes to skidding Philippine Air Force, 25-17, 25-12, 25-17, Saturday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The trio of Thai import Jeng Bualee, American reinforcement Jennifer Keddy and local hitter Grethcel Soltones led the way as the Water Defenders claimed their fifth win in seven games in a repeat over the Jet Spikers.
Keddy nailed 19 points from 12 attacks, six kill blocks and an ace for BaliPure, which boosted its bid for an outright semifinals slot.
Bualee pumped in 14 kills and a pair of kill blocks for 16 markers while Soltones finished with nine for the Water Defenders, who rebounded from a painful five-set loss to Pocari Sweat last Thursday. Risa Sato had eight points while Jasmine Nabor tallied 31 excellent sets for BaliPure, which will take on Perlas on Sunday.
Air Force crashed to its sixth straight defeat for a 1-7 slate at the cellar.
Jocemer Tapic scored seven points while Thai import Patcharee Saengmuang was silenced to only five markers for the Jet Spikers.
