BaliPure tries to get back on the winning track in a rematch against skidding Philippine Air Force.
BaliPure hopes to bounce back from a tough loss the last time out as the Water Defenders meet the nosediving Philippine Air Force in a rematch Saturday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Game time is at 4:00 p.m. and will air via livestream.
The Water Defenders absorbed a painful 25-18, 25-21, 24-26, 25-27, 13-15 defeat at the hands of streaking Pocari Sweat, which lost its top hitter Myla Pablo due to a back injury in the second set, last Thursday.
BaliPure is at solo second spot with a 4-2 win-loss record behind Pocari Sweat (6-2).
The Water Defenders will bank on Thai import Jeng Bualee, American reinforcement Jennifer Keddy and local hitter Gretchcel Soltones to make a repeat against the Jet Spikers.
BaliPure defeated Air Force in four-sets in their first meeting.
The Jet Spikers are on a five-game losing skid and are at the cellar with a 1-6 card.
Thai import Patcharee Saengmuang need to get the support of local players May Ann Pantino, Joy Cases, Jocemer Tapic and Iari Yongco to get Air Force back on the winning track.
Meanwhile, Cignal and Philippine Air Force battle in the men’s division at 10:00 a.m.
