Spikers seek third straight win, face Water Defenders
Perlas tries to snatch its third straight win and a repeat victory over BaliPure.

Perlas shoots for its third straight win in a showdown with BaliPure Sunday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Opening serve is at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

With Brazilian import Rupia Inck and Dzi Gervacio leading their attack behind the superb playmaking of Japanese reinforcement Naoko Hashimoto, the Spikers dismantled the Power Smashers, 27-25, 26-24, 25-19, Saturday for the team’s first back-to-back victories.

Perlas parades a 5-3 win-loss record at solo third spot and hopes to ride its momentum for a repeat against the Water Defenders, who the Spikers defeated in a thrilling five-set decision, 22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-12, last week.

BaliPure is at solo top spot with a 5-2 slate and is fresh from walk in the park 25-17, 25-12, 25-17, victory over skidding Philippine Air Force Saturday.

American import Jennifer Keddy and Thai reinforcement Jeng Bualee will lead the march of the Water Defenders with Grethcel Soltones, Risa Sato, Aiko Urdas, Jorelle Singh and Jerrili Malabanan as backups.
