Perlas and Philippine Air Force battle to keep their semis hopes alive.

Skidding Perlas Spikers and Philippine Air Force Jet Spikers fight for dear life in the round robin quarterfinals of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game time is at 6:30 p.m. and will air via livestream.

Both teams dropped their opening day assignments. The loser of the match will kiss its best-of-three semifinals berth goodbye.

The Spikers are on three-game losing streak and suffered a 16-25, 25-9, 25-17, 13-25, 13-15, Saturday in the quarterfinals opener against Creamline.

Perlas locals Dzi Gervacio, Kathy Bersola, Diana Carlos, Amanda Villanueva and Amy Ahomiro need to squeeze out more to help Brazilan import Rupia Inck and Japanese setter Naoko Hashimoto.

The Spikers defeated the Jet Spikers in straight sets in their prelims rematch after a five-set setback in their first meeting.

Air Force is coming off a 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 14-25, 10-15, loss at the hands of Pocari Sweat last Saturday.

The Jet Spikers will bank on Thai import Patcharee Saengmuang and veterans Joy Cases, Jocemer Tapic, May Ann Pantino, Angel Antipuesto and Iari Yongco.

Meanwhile, Cignal (3-1) and Sta. Elena (3-1) dispute a spot in the top two of the semifinals in their 1:00 p.m. clash in the men’s division.
