BaliPure and Creamline joust for the last time for a championship seat ticket.
Top seed BaliPure and Creamline square off Thursday to determine which team will occupy the first championship seat in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The two squads collide in the deciding match of their best-of-three semifinals series starting 4:00 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Action will air on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.
Behind the 23-point, 17-dig effort of Thai import Kuttika Kaewpin and the support of American Laura Schaudt and local superstar Alyssa Valdez, the Cool Smashers equalized last Tuesday with a 24-26, 25-18, 18-25, 25-16, 16-14, win to force a series decider.
“Sana lang ma-maintain namin ang composure namin as a team (sa Game 3),” said Valdez, who had 15 markers in their win. “‘Yun ‘yung important thing siguro.”
Creamline’s Game 2 win was their first against the Water Defenders in four head-to-head matches in the tournament.
For BaliPure to win, the Roger Gorayeb-mentored squad should limit their miscues especially after committing 33 in their setback.
American import Jennifer Keddy, Thai reinforcement Jeng Bualee and locals Risa Sato and Grethcel Soltones spearhead the Water Defenders last push to earn a Finals seat.
The winner of the match will face the survivor between Pocari Sweat and the Power Smashers in a best-of-three affair starting Saturday.
The semis losers will play in a best-of-three battle for third.
