Action in the men's division of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference begins Saturday.

After falling short of the top podium finish in their last campaign, Philippine Air Force begins its bid for the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference men's division crown.

The Jet Spikers hope to start their journey on the right foot on Saturday when they take on newcomer Gamboa Coffee Mix at 10:00 a.m. at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

But Air Force, runner up in the Reinforced Conference behind Cignal, will have a difficult flight this time after the Jet Spikers lost young guns Bryan Bagunas, Kim Malabunga and Fauzi Ismail.

The National University trio transferred to the Megabuilders Volley Volt, who will take on Philippine Army at 1:00 p.m. The match will air via livestream.

Back to lead the Jet Spikers are veteran playmaker Jessie Lopez, national team member and Reinforced Conference Most Valuable Player Ranran Abdilla, Jeffrey Malabanan and Edwin Tolentino.

Romnick Rico and Jayvee Sumagaysay will banner the Troopers, third place winner in the previous conference, against the Volley Volt composed of NU players.
