Spikers out to stop two-game bleeding
Can BanKo-Perlas find a way to end a two-game slide?

BanKo-Perlas aims to arrest a two-game slide in a face off against Adamson University in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Opening serve is at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Spikers dropped their first two games including a 21-25, 25-22, 19-25, 26-28, defeat at the hands of Pocari Sweat last Wednesday.

BanKo-Perlas hopes to end their slide with the Spikers parading a full lineup for the first time. Veteran middle Kathy Bersola is expected to suit up after skipping their first two games to go on vacation.

Bersola, a former University of the Philippines standout and UAAP Season 76 Best Middle Blocker, will add more defensive strength to BanKo-Perlas at the net while giving setter Jem Ferrer another option on offense.

The Spikers will also bank on Suzanne Roces, Amy Ahomiro, Ella De Jesus, Nicole Tiamzon and former Adamson player Amanda Villanueva against the Lady Falcons.

Despite fielding a young team, Adamson showed great promise in its debut.

The Lady Falcons gave Creamline a good fight but still came up short against the veteran Cool Smashers, 17-25, 25-18, 15-25, 22-25, in their tournament opener.

Jema Galanza, Eli Soyud and high school guest players Rizza Cruz and setter Louie Romero are the Adamson players to watch out for after their impressive performances the last time out.
