Spikers hunt for second straight win
BanKo Perlas is out to pick its second straight win against the winless Power Smashers.

BanKo-Perlas hunts for its second straight win when the Spikers test the mettle of the struggling Power Smashers Saturday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game time is at 6:30 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Spikers snapped a two-game skid last week after defeating Adamson University, 25-18, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21, for a 1-2 win-loss record tied with the Lady Falcons at fifth and sixth spots.

Nicole Tiamzon showed the way for BanKo-Perlas against Adamson when the former University of the Philippines star dropped 14 points while Kathy Bersola debuted for the Spikers with 13 markers.

The Power Smashers, who finished fourth in the Reinforced Conference, are winless in three games tied with UP.

The Nes Pamilar-coached team came from a painful 20-25, 26-24, 19-25, 22-25, upset at the hands of Adamson University last Wednesday.

Dimdim Pacres, Regine Arocha, Jovielyn Prad and the rest of the Power Smashers need to get their acts together to avoid going further south.
