Kim Malabunga will lead the charge of Mega Builders as it shoots for the solo lead.
Unbeaten Mega Builders aims for a hold of the solo lead when the Volley Bolts clash with Instituto Estetico Manila in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League men’s division elimination round Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Parading a pristine 3-0 win-loss record, the National University-backed Volley Bolts look to extend their winning run and shake off from a share of the lead with idle Cignal.
Game time is at 1:00 p.m. and will air via livestream.
Mega Builders easily dismantled fellow newcomer Gamboa Coffee, 25-23, 25-11, 25-16, last week behind Kim Malanunga’s 12 points and 10 markers from Fauzi Ismail.
The Phoenix Volley Masters are on a roll after dropping their first match in straight sets against Sta. Elena.
IEM hurdled Café Lupe, 25-18, 27-25, 25-19, before dominating Gamboa Coffee, 25-22, 25-17, 25-13, last Wednesday for a 2-1 slate at third to fourth spots tied with Philippine Air Force.
Meanwhile, the Jet Spikers and Sunrisers collide at 10:00 a.m.
Air Force is raring to rebound from a 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 14-16, loss it absorbed against Philippine Army last week that snapped the Jet Spikers’ two-game winning start.
Café Lupe is winless in three outings tied with Gamboa Coffe at the cellar.
