Jet Spikers target third semifinals berth
Philippine Air Force has the third semifinals berth on its scope.

Philippine Air Force marches into its last battle in the elimination round with a mission to formally secure the third semifinals berth in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

The Jet Spikers square off with the also-ran Adamson University Lady Falcons Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan hoping to follow unbeaten Creamline (6-0) and Reinforced Conference champion Pocari Sweat (5-1) in  the best-of-three semifinals.

Game time is at 6:30 p.m. and and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

Air Force parades a 4-2 win-loss record at third spot but with BanKo-Perlas and BaliPure sporting similar 3-3 cards at fourth to fifth, the Jet Spikers are in a must-win situation to avoid complication of going into a playoff in case the Spikers and Water Defenders hurdle their respective opponents on Sunday.

The Jet Spikers are coming off a 19-25, 19-25, 27-25, defeat at the hands of Pocari Sweat last Wednesday.

Adamson is on the three-way tie at sixth to eight spot together with the Power Smashers and University of the Philippines with 1-5 mark.

The Lady Falcons tasted a 23-25, 14-25, 19-25, drubbing from the Lady Warriors last week.
