Cool Smashers seek to complete elimination round sweep
Already assured of a semifinals berth, Creamline now sets its eyes on completing a sweep of the elimination round.

Creamline marchers into battle against BanKo-Perlas with hopes of completing an elimination round sweep Sunday in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Opening serve of the match is at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Cool Smashers are unbeaten in six games. They are looking to lock the no. 1 seed to take on the fourth seeded squad in the best-of-three semifinals.

Creamline is coming off a daring 19-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-17, 16-14, escape against University of the Philippines last week.

The Spikers, on the other hand are bent to keep its semifinals hopes alive.

BanKo-Perlas is tied with BaliPure at fourth to fifth spots with 3-3 slates.

The Spikers defeated the Water Defenders in five sets a week ago.

A win by BanKo-Perlas coupled with BaliPure’s loss to Pocari Sweat in their match will give the Spikers the fourth and last semifinals seat to challenge the top seed.

In case of a tie between the Spikers and Water Defenders after the elimination round, there will be a playoff on Wednesday.
