BaliPure is looking to punch the last semifinals ticket.
BaliPure seeks to secure at least a playoff for the last semifinals berth when the Water Defenders collide with powerhouse Pocari Sweat in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Water Defenders and Lady Warriors march in to battle at 6:30 p.m. The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.
BaliPure and BanKo-Perlas are tied at fourth to fifth spots with 3-3 win-loss records.
A win by the Water Defenders coupled with the Spikers’ loss to Creamline will give the no. 4 seed to BaliPure for the right to face the no. 1 seed team in the best-of-three semis.
In case of a tie between BanKo-Perlas and BaliPure after the elimination round, there will be a playoff on Wednesday.
The Water Defenders snapped two-game losing streak last week after defeating Adamson University 25-18, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20.
The Reinforced Conference champion Pocari Sweat is already in the semifinals and is just looking to finish the elimination round strong.
Sporting a 5-1 slate behind Creamline (6-0), the Lady Warriors could still take the top spot if the Cool Smashers’ drops its last assignment in three to four sets coupled by Pocari Sweat’s convincing win.
The Lady Warriors pummeled semis-bound Air Force, 25-19, 25-19, 27-25, last Wednesday.
