Philippine Air Force goes for the jugular when the Jet Spikers face Pocari Sweat in Game 2 of the best-of-three semifinals.
With momentum now on their side, the Philippine Air Force Jet Spikers gun to punch the first championship ticket in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
The Jet Spikers shoot to finish off the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors on Sunday in their 4:00 p.m. Game 2 showdown in the best-of-three semifinals at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.
Air Force gave the Lady Warriors a stunning, 25-20, 25-19, 25-21, whipping Saturday night.
“Di natin alam ang mangyayari kasi parang nagkaroon lang sila ng problema sa first ball pero malakas talaga ang Pocari,” said Jet Spikers coach Jasper Jimenez.
With May Ann Pantino, Jocemer Tapic and Dell Palomata exploding on offense, Air Force returned the favor to Pocari Sweat, which defeated then in straight sets in the elimination round.
“Sasamantalahin namin ang momentum. ‘Yun na ang advantage para sa amin,” Jimenez said.
The reigning Reinforced Conference champions Lady Warriors need to wake up to extend the series to a decider on Wednesday for a chance to face the winner between Creamline and BaliPure in the best-of-three Finals.
