Jia Morado will remain as a Creamline Cool Smasher.
Nope, super setter Jia Morado is not returning to Ateneo anytime soon.
After she ended her first club team experience in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference with Creamline, Morado says she's staying put.
"Ano, training with Creamline. No [other] plans," Jia said when asked what's next for her after the Cool Smashers salvaged another third place finish in the PVL Wednesday after beating Air Force in four sets.
Despite missing star spiker Alyssa Valdez in the latter half of their campaign, the Cool Smashers still managed to complete a sweep of the elimination round.
However, Creamline faltered in the semifinals against BaliPure, losing in three games.
Morado, who almost effortlessly took her genius from Ateneo to Creamline, says that there's still many positive things to take away from the Cool Smashers' rather disappointing finish.
"Siguro pana-panahon din. If this isn't for us this conference, we can come back better next conference," the former captain of the Lady Eagles said.
"They were telling us na kahit maraming veterans, young team pa rin ito kasi this conference lang kami nabuo ng ganito. So it's nothing to be worried about, nothing to be discouraged about. If anything, parang nabuo kami with this third place finish," Morado added.
