Lady Falcons, Lady Maroons out to settle old score
Adamson University is out for revenge.

Adamson University has an old score to settle against University of the Philippines, adding a little spice in their Group B collision in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Monday.

The Lady Falcons and Lady Maroons square off at 6:30 p.m. The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

“It’s going to be a good challenge,” said head coach Adamson coach Air Padda.

Firing up the Lady Falcons is their mission to exact revenge on the Lady Maroons, who defeated them in their faceoff in PVL Open Conference.

“Coming away from last PVL, one of our biggest disappointments was the showing that we made in that game (against UP),” Padda said. “They got way too relaxed and they underestimated UP. So it’s (rematch) gonna be intense especially that we are the only UAAP teams in the bracket.”

Leading Adamson is veteran Jema Galanza with May Roque, Bernmadette Flora, Eli Soyud and senior high player Chiara Permentilla. Also back in the fold for the Lady Falcons are Joy Dacoron and returning setter Fenela Emnas.

UP will parade the same team that played in the Open Conference led by Isa Molde, Diana Carlos, Ayel Estranero, Marist Layug, Justine Dorog, Marian Buitre. Former national youth team member Roselyn Rosier and Cynthia Escutin are the newest addition to coach Jerry Yee’s lineup.
