National University hunts for a bounce back win in a showdown against De La Salle University.
National University aims to recover from a shocking setback as the Bulldogs challenge a reeling De La Salle University side in the men’s division of the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Monday.
Game time is at 10:00 a.m. after University of the Philippines and San Beda College tussle at 8:00 a.m.
The Bulldogs suffered a sorry 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14, 13-15, loss at the hands of Far Eastern University last week for 1-1 win-loss slate tied with the Fighting Maroons.
Idle Ateneo de Manila University holds the solo lead with 3-0 slate followed by University of Sto. Tomas (2-1).
After a four set win over sister team College of St. Benilde to open their campaign, the Green Spikers absorbed two straight defeats to slide at fifth spot with a 1-2 mark. The Taft-based squad is coming off a 23-25, 19-25, 25-23, 18-25, loss against FEU.
Meanwhile, UP seeks its back-to-back victories after barging in the win column with a narrow 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 21-25, 16-14, escape of the Blazers a week ago.
The Red Spikers, on the other hand, are looking to end a two-game slide and notch their first win.
San Beda and CSB are tied at the cellar with 0-2 cards.
