Arellano U seeks at least a playoff for a semis berth
Arellano University takes on also-ran Technological Institute of the Philippines with hopes to secure at least a playoff for a semis slot.

Arellano University hopes to recover from a previous setback and secure at least a playoff for a semifinals spot in Group B of the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The well-rested Lady Chiefs march into battle on Monday against the also-ran Technological Institute of the Philippines at 6:30 p.m.  

Action will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

Arellano U is tied at second to third spots with identical 2-1 win-loss records behind unbeaten Adamson University.

The reigning NCAA champions Lady Chiefs saw their two-game winning streak snapped by the Lady Chiefs, 20-25, 22-25, 16-25, last September 9.  

Arellano U will pin its hopes on veterans Jovielyn Prado, Mary Anne Esguerra, Regine Arocha and Andrea Marzan.

The Lady Engineers dropped all of its first three games including a 12-25, 14-25, 13-25 drubbing against the Lady Falcons last Saturday.
