Lady Eagles hunt for second win in a row
Team captain Bea De Leon will try to rally Ateneo de Manila University to its second straight win.

Injury-laden Ateneo de Manila University tries to score its first back-to-back victories in Group A of the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

But it won’t be an easy task for the Lady Eagles on Saturday when they face a desperate San Sebastian College side looking to survive in the semifinals race.

Game time is at 6:30 p.m. and will air via livestream.

Ateneo is at second to third spot tied with idle Far Eastern University, holding a 2-1 win-loss record behind undefeated National University (3-0).

The Lady Eagles defeated Lyceum of the Philippines University, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20, a week ago sans injured Kim Gequillana (left knee), Ana Gopico (hamstring) and Jho Maraguinot (foot sprain).

Bea De Leon, Maddie Madayag and Kat Tolentino led the way for Ateneo in its last match and will again be needed to man the fort against the Lady Stags.

SSC-R is tied with LPU with 1-2 slate and another loss will show the Lady Stags the exit door in the semis race.

The Recto-based squad bowed down to NU, 21-25, 25-21, 11-25, 18-25, almost two weeks ago.
