Far Eastern University marches into battle with a mission to secure a seat in the semifinals.
Far Eastern University guns for the second semifinals berth in the men’s division of the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference on Monday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Tamaraws hope to extend their winning run to five against a University of the Philippines side looking to fan its flickering Final Four bid at 8:00 a.m.
FEU sports a 4-1 win-loss record at second spot behind the semifinals-bound and unbeaten Ateneo de Manila University (6-0).
After dropping a four-set match against the Blue Eagles in their conference opener, the Tams rolled past their next four opponents including a 25-22, 27-25, 25-21, demolition of reigning NCAA champion College of St. Benilde a week ago.
The Fighting Maroons are on a three-game losing slump and hold a 1-4 slate at seventh spot. Another loss will boot UP, which is coming off a 13-25, 26-24, 15-25, 17-25, defeat against National University last Saturday, out of the semis race.
Meanwhile, San Beda College (1-3) and CSB (0-4) cross paths at 10:00 a.m.
