PVL standouts collide in All-Star Sunday on Oct. 29
Premier Volleyball League top players clash in All-Star Sunday next month.

Former National University coach Roger Gorayeb reunites with his wards in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League All-Star Sunday 2017 on October 29 at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The multi-titled mentor, who steered BaliPure to the Open Conference crown, will coach a team composed mostly of his Water Defenders core and Lady Bulldogs players including 6-foot-5 Jaja Santiago.

They will go up against a troop headed by Pocari Sweat coach Rico De Guzman and bannered by Lady Warriors ace Myla Pablo and Ateneo de Manila University team captain Bea De Leon.

Action begins at 6:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

Aside from Santiago, playing under Gorayeb are NU and BaliPure players Aiko Urdas, top setter Jasmine Nabor and Risa Sato. Other members of Gorayeb’s squad are BaliPure’s Grethcel Soltones, who played under him in San Sebastian College, libero Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone and Jerrili Malabanan, BanKo-Perlas’ Kathy Bersola and Jem Ferrer, Creamline and San Beda College’s Cesca Racraquin, Iari Yongco of Philippine Air Force and University of the Philippines Diana Carlos.

De Guzman will also pin his hopes on Lady Warriors Mel Gohing, Elaine Kasilag, setter Gyzelle Sy and Jeanette Panaga, Creamline’s Pau Soriano and playmaker Jia Morado, Suzanne Roces of BanKo-Perlas, Joy Cases of Philippine Air Force, UP’s Isa Molde and Adamson University star Jema Galanza.

Tai Bundit will serve as Gorayeb’s assistant while Jasper Jimenez will be De Guzman’s deputy.

The program will start at 1:30 p.m. where fans will get a chance to get their favorite players’ autographs and have their photos taken.
