No major injury for Adamson libero Tempiatura
No she doesn’t need to go to the hospital. It was just a light ankle sprain -- Adamson coach Air Padda on injured libero Jellie Tempiatura
Adamson University coach Air Padda breathed a sigh of relief after starting libero Jellie Tempiatura was cleared of any serious injury.
“No she doesn’t need to go to the hospital. It was just a light ankle sprain,” said Padda, who carried her libero off the court.
The defense specialist went down with a right ankle sprain in the fourth set of the Lady Falcons 25-21, 25-27, 20-25, 25-23, 11-15, loss to Far Eastern University in Game 2 of Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference best-of-three semifinals at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan Saturday.
Tempiatura sprained her foot while trying to save the ball.
Adamson is already one man down with top hitter Jema Galanza ruled out of the tournament after dislocating her right ankle during the game against College of St. Benilde on September 25 and will need the floor defense of Tempiatura on Monday in a rubbermatch for the right to face National University in the best-of-three Finals starting Wednesday.
