PVL on Tour: Valdez visits home province

Alyssa Valdez returns to her home province as the second leg of the Premier Volleyball League’s “PVL on Tour” visits Batangas City on Sunday.
The former three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player will banner Creamline when the Cool Smashers face BanKo-Perlas at 6:00 p.m. at the Batangas City Sports Complex.
Valdez will take a break from her stint as an import of Chinese Taipei club team Attack Line to participate in three legs of the PVL on Tour. She will also see action in the exhibition matches at the Iloilo Sports Complex on Oct. 17 and La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod the next day.
“She (Valdez) will play in Batangas, Iloilo and Bacolod,” said Charo Soriano, whose group Grid Athletic Sports is co-organizing the PVL on Tour with the PVL.
Pocari Sweat and BaliPure will collide in the second game at 7:30 p.m.
Valdez skipped the Cool Smashers’ win over the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors, 25-19, 29-27, 23-25, 25-22, win in the PVL on Tour’s first leg at the People’s Gym in Tuguegarao last Saturday.
Perlas-Banko defeated the Grethcel Soltones-led Bali Pure in a come-from-behind 25-27, 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 16-14 win in the other match.
