Red Team tops White Team in PVL All-Star women's match

PVL All-Star Sunday women's exhibition match participants with kids from Heroes Camp.
Diana Carlos had an explosive night, dropping 15 points to power Red Team to a 25-21, 25-22, 13-25, 25-21, triumph over White Team in the Premier Volleyball League All-Star Sunday women’s volleyball exhibition match at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
The University of the Philippines star unleashed 12 attacks and three service aces for the Roger Gorayeb team in the league’s end of the season fund-raising event for the benefit of Hero Foundation.
BaliPure and National University standout Aiko Urdas scored 11 while Amy Ahomiro and Kathy Bersola of BanKo-Perlas finished with nine markers each for the Red Team.
“Masaya kami, unang-una, kasi ito naman ginawa para sa mga fans ng mga batang ito. Pangalawa, para doon Hero Foundation, 'yung makatulong kami, makabigay kami ng kasiyahan sa mga tao,” said Gorayeb, whose squad scored 15 from the service line.
“Ito na ang soli namin sa suportang binigay nila for the past three conferences at saka very noble 'yung rason ng pagkakaroon nito eh,” he added.
Tied at 14 in the fourth set, Carlos and Urdas led the Red Team’s assault to build a 24-19 separation.
Nicole Tiamzon of BanKo-Perlas scored 14 points while UP’s Isa Molde and Ateneo De Manila’s Bea De Leon chipped in 12 and 11 markers, respectively, for the White Team.
