Veteran coach Jerry Yee will be back in the Premier Volleyball League.
Seasoned coach Jerry Yee will make a grand return in the Premier Volleyball League with a new team in tow.
Yee is set to step down as head coach of Sta. Lucia Realty in the Philippine Superliga at the end of the year and will make comeback in the PVL leading a new team in Total for the Reinforced Conference starting May next year.
“Nagkaroon ng offer from Total, which is Flying V,” said the former University of the Philippines mentor and a multi-titled coach of Hope Christian School.
Yee declined to name the players Total intends to recruit but is confident that it will be a competitive bunch that will give top teams like defending champion Pocari Sweat, BaliPure and the Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado and Risa Sato-led Creamline a run for their money.
“Raffy Villavicencio is the one negotiating sa mga players, ang balak nila is to bring in former La Salle players,” he said.
Yee coached UP in the PVL’s Open Conference before resigning from his post early in the league’s Collegiate Conference.
He was tapped by SLR to coach the Lady Realtors in the PSL Grand Prix just two weeks after parting ways with Sammy Acaylar.
Under his command and with the help of imports Ukrainian Bohdana Anisova and Canadians Marisa Field and Kristen Moncks, the Lady Realtors closed the elims with a 3-5 slate but were eliminated by Foton in the quarterfinals.
