Gumabao announces official transfer to Creamline
Michele Gumabao is now officially a Creamline Cool Smasher.
Michele Gumabao officially announced her commitment with Creamline on her Instagram post Thursday evening.
The opposite spiker’s post came hours after the Rebisco franchise revealed on their Facebook page the addition of Gumabao and another De La Salle University product libero Melissa Gohing as the Cool Smashers shore up their roster to capture the elusive Premier Volleyball League crown.
This will mark the return of Gumabao, a three-time UAAP champion, to the Sports Vision-organized volleyball league after bolting out of Pocari Sweat following the Lady Warriors’ victorious campaign in the V-League that saw them capture the Open and Reinforced conferences back in 2016.
She transferred to Cocolife in the Philippine Superliga the following year before deciding to return in the PVL under the Creamline banner.
Gumabao, who is also a 2018 Binibining Pilipinas aspirant, joined a stacked Cool Smashers lineup where she will team up for the first time in a commercial squad with Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado.
Creamline settled for bronze medal finishes in the Open and Reinforced conferences of PVL's inaugural season last year.
