PVL: Creamline back in win column, sweeps PayMaya

Creamline bounced back mightily from a setback the day before as the Cool Smashers cruised in a cakewalk, 25-18, 25-23, 25-19, win over PayMaya Sunday in the in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference at the People’s Gym in Tuguegarao.

Thai import Kuttika Kaewpin and skipper Alyssa Valdez led the way for Creamline, which handed the High Flyers their first loss in three outings.

The Cool Smashers rebounded from a painful five-set defeat at the hands of BanKo Perlas to tie their victim at 2-1 win-loss slate.

Kaewpin scored 17 points on 15 attacks and two service aces while Valdez added 12 markers, 11 off kills, for Creamline. Michele Gumabao had eight markers while playmaker Jia Morado tallied 26 excellent sets for the Cool Smashers.

PayMaya saw its winning streak snapped with only American import Tess Rountree reaching double digit scoring with 17 points. Aiko Urdas and Jasmine Nabor had eight and six points, respectively, for the High Flyers.
