PVL: Angels, Spikers clash to end slump
Petro Gazz tries to end a three-game losing skid on Sunday in a clash with BanKo Perlas.

Winless Petro Gazz face another reeling team BanKo Perlas on Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum.

The Angels are looking to stop a three-game bleeding in the 2:00 p.m. duel that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

Petro Gazz is winless in three games with its last setback coming at the hands of high school standouts-bannered BaliPure-National University, 25-22, 23-25, 26-28, 25-22, 12-15, last Wednesday.

The Angels locals Rachel Austero, Ranya Musa and Paneng Mercado need to step up their game to help Ukrainian import Anastasiia Trach and Estonian reinforcement Kadi Kullerkann, who scored 22 and 21 points, respectively, the last time out.

Meanwhile, the Spikers sport a 1-2 slate and is on a two-game slump.

After scoring a five-set upset over crowd favorite Creamline, BanKo Perlas dropped their next outings against defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force and Tacloban, both in four sets.

The Spikers will bank on Thai import Jutarat Montripila, American Kia Bright, Amy Ahomiro and Joy Dacoron to get back on the winning track.
