PVL: Angels out to snatch second straight win
Can the Angels begin a winning run after snapping an early struggle?

After arresting a three-game slide last week, a well-rested Petro Gazz crew marches into action Saturday against skidding Iriga-Navy in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Angels barged in the win column a week ago at the expense of BanKo Perlas, 15-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-9.

Petro Gazz, which holds a 1-3 win-loss card, is now looking to start a winning run in the scheduled 2:00 p.m. encounter with the Lady Oragons, who are on a two-game slide.

The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Angels will pin their hopes on Ukrainian import Anastasiia Trach, who scored 27 points the last time out, as well as new import Olena Lymareva-Flink, locals Cherry Nunag, Wensh Tiu, Ranya Musa and Paneng Mercado.

Iriga-Navy is coming off a 8-25, 25-23, 18-25, 16-25, loss at the hands of defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force last Wednesday to slide to 1-2 slate.

Americans Macy Ubben and Lauren Whyte are playing consistently for the Lady Oragons but will need the help of the locals to avoid falling further down South.
