PVL: Water Defenders out to extend win streak to four
American import Janisa Johnson and her BaliPure-National University crew shoot for their fourth straight win and a firm hold of the top spot.

Streaking BaliPure-National University looks to add defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force to its list of victims on Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum.

The Water Defenders and Lady Warriors march into battle at 4:00 p.m. in a duel that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The high school standouts-bannered BaliPure sits on top of the heap beside Creamline with 3-1 win-loss record.

Behind the steady game of American import Janisa Johnson and the consistent performances of youthful setter Joyme Cagande and libero Jennifer Nierva, the Water Defenders are making their presence felt.

BaliPure is on a three-game winning run. Its last victim was BanKo, 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 32-30, last Wednesday.

Pocari Sweat sports a 2-2 slate tied with Tacloban and is coming off a sorry 15-25, 25-27, 25-17, 19-25, loss to Creamline last week.
