Wendy Semana of Pocari Sweat-Air Force could miss the remainder of the PVL Reinforced Conference after sustaining a right ankle injury.
Pocari Sweat-Air Force veteran setter Wendy Semana could miss the remainder of the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference after sustaining a right ankle injury in the second set of the Lady Warriors’ match against Petro Gazz.
Semana went down in pain after an awkwardly landing in the second frame of the defending champions’ 19-25, 25-20, 26-28, 21-25, loss Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The playmaker seemed to have stepped on the foot of Petro Gazz’s Paneng Mercado in the second set with Pocari Sweat up, 8-7.
She was carried back to the bench and team officials feared that she could miss the rest of the tournament pending the result of the medical exam. Semana is set to undergo medical exam on Thursday at the Air Force General Hospital.
The Lady Warriors are currently tied with the Angels with 3-3 win-loss record.
