PVL: Fighting Warays shoot for second straight win
Tacloban hopes to build momentum heading into the quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals-bound defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force and Tacloban collide in at the close of their respective preliminary round campaigns in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game time is at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Lady Warriors and Fighting Warays are in a three-way tie at 3-3 win-loss record with idle BaliPure-National University.

Tacloban is fresh from an emphatic 25-20, 25-22, 27-25, sweep of Iriga-Navy last Wednesday and is looking to build momentum heading into the round robin quarters where the last two best-of-three Final Four seats are at stake.

League-leading Creamline (5-1) and PayMaya (4-2) already secured the outright semis berths.

Pocari Sweat, on the other hand, dropped a sorry 19-25, 25-20, 26-28, 21-25, loss to Petro Gazz four days ago.

The Lady Warriors will also play without injured setter Wendy Semana, who suffered a right ankle sprain the last time out.
