Ultra Fast Hitters, Volley Masters begin quarters campaign
PLDT Home Fibr face prelims tormentors Instituto Estetico Manila to open its quarterfinals campaign.

Action hits fever pitch as PLDT Home Fibr and Instituto Estetico Manila begin their quest for the last two Final Four berths in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference men’s quarterfinals at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Saturday.

Defending champion Cignal and newcomer Vice Co. secured the two outright semis berths after their stellar outings in the preliminary round, leaving the remaining four teams battling it out in the round robin quarterfinals for the remaining best-of-three Final Four tickets.

Opening serve is at 10:00 a.m. The match will be available via livestream.

The Ultra Fast Hitters and the Phoenix Volley Masters finished the prelims with 2-3 win-loss records in a three-way logjam with Philippine Air Force.

PLDT, bannered by power hitters John Vic De Guzman and Mark Alfafara, is coming off a sorry 20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, loss to Vice Co. last week that saw its two-game winning streak snapped.

Meanwhile, IEM is down with a three-game slide but the Phoenix Volley Masters hope to end the drought with a repeat of their hard-earned, 14-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 15-12, win over the Ulra Fast Hitters in their first meeting.
