PVL: Angels try to keep semis hopes alive
Petro Gazz faces Iriga-Navy in a crucial match for the Angels' Final Four hopes.

Petro Gazz will try to keep its Final Four hopes alive when the Angels face also-ran Iriga-Navy in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference quarterfinals Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game time is at 2:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Angels sport a 2-1 win-loss record at third spot behind unbeaten BanKo (3-0) and defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force (3-1).

Petro Gazz is on a two-game roll and is coming off a straight sets win over BaliPure, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14, a week ago.

A win by the Angels will put them in a good position in the race for the last two best-of-three semifinals spots to join Final Four-bound Creamline and PayMaya.

The Lady Oragons are already out of contention after suffering a sorry 17-25, 25-23, 26-28, 25-22, 12-15 loss to the Perlas Spikers last Wednesday.

Iriga-Navy holds a 1-3 record.
