PVL: Jet Spikers, Ultra Fast Hitters clash for semis seeding

PLDT and Philippine Air Force clash for the Final Four no. 3 seat.
Semifinals-bound and unbeaten teams PLDT Home Fibr and Philippine Air Force cross paths to determine their Final Four seeding on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference men’s competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Their round robin quarterfinals finale starts at 10:00 a.m. where the no. 3 seeding in the best-of-three Final Four is at stake. The match will be available via livestream.
Defending champion Cignal occupies the no. 1 spot in the semis while Vice Co. holds the second seed. The team that will land the third spot will take on the no. 2 squad while the fourth seed will face off with the HD Spikers.
The Ultra Fats Hitters and the Jet Spikers hurdled their first two assignments to set up an exciting rematch.
PLDT is coming off a one-week layoff after toppling Philippine Army, 25-14, 26-24, 25-20.
Top hitters John Vic De Guzman and Mark Alfafara will spearhead the Ultra Fast Hitters’ charge against national squad teammates Bryan Bagunas, Ranran Abdilla and Reyson Fuentes of the Jet Spikers.
Air Force, which defeated Instituto Estetico Manila, 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 25-22, last Wednesday, is looking for repeat against their preliminary round victims.
