Philippine Army wants to end its campaign on a winning note against an Instituto Estetico Manila side hoping for the same exit.
Already out of the semis contention, Philippine Army and Instituto Estetico Manila seek a graceful exit in their campaign in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference men’s division Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Game time of the last quarterfinals playdate is a 1:00 p.m. and will air via livestream.
Both teams are winless in two outings in the round robin quarters and are both eliminated in the race for the last two semis seats, now occupied by Philippine Air Force and PLDT Home Fibr.
The Troopers suffered 14-25, 24-26, 20-25, beating at the hands of the Ultra Fast Hitters almost two weeks ago.
The Phoenix Volley Masters, on the other hand, absorbed a 19-25, 19-25, 25-17, 22-25 loss to the Jet Spikers a week ago and are on a five-game losing skid.
But IEM has the psychological edge against Army as the Phoenix Volley Masters submitted the Troopers in four sets in their preliminary round meeting.
