Perlas Spikers, High Flyers dispute Finals seat
PayMaya and BanKo square off for a spot in the best-of-three Finals.

PayMaya and BanKo dispute the right to advance in the Finals on Friday in Game 3 of the best-of-three Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference semifinals at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Action begins at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on LIGA on SkyCable channel 86 and LIGA HD on SkyCable channel 183 and via livestream. Telecast on S+A and S+A HD will be on July 7, Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

The High Flyers forced the series decider after weathering a furious comeback attempt by the Perlas Spikers in five sets, 28-26, 25-16, 25-27, 25-27, 15-12, last Wednesday that snapped BanKo’s eight-game winning streak since the preliminary round.

Americans Tess Rountree, who had 34 points in Game 2, and Shelby Sullivan as well as top local hitter Grethcel Soltones will be PayMaya’s main arsenal in its attempt to clinch a championship berth.

The best-of-three Finals series will start on Sunday at the MOA Arena.

American Kia Bright, who dropped 35 points the last time out, Thai import Jutarat Montripila and locals Joy Dacoron, Nicole Tiamzon, Amy Ahomiro and veteran Suzanne Roces will try to tow the Perlas Spikers to their breakthrough championship stint after a couple of fifth place finishes last year.
